Epiphytic, 25-40 cm high. Rhizome elongated, branched; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs 2.5-4 cm apart, stem-like, swollen at the base, somewhat laterally compressed, 2.5-4 cm long, at the base 0.5-0.7 cm diam., 1-leaved. Leaf erect, linear-ligulate, acute or almost cuspidate, gradually somewhat narrowed towards the base, glabrous; 20-36 cm long, near the middle 0.7-1.2 cm wide. Inflorescence slender, erect, ancipitous, without peduncle-scales, glabrous, often shorter than the leaf, sometimes as long as the leaf; rachis distichous, densely many-flowered, up to 6 cm long. Floral bracts two-ranked, overlapping, ovate, apiculate, ancipitous-conduplicate, about half as long as the pedicellate, ovary. Flowers erect-patent, glabrous. Sepals reflexed, oblong, apiculate, c. 0.45 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals erect, obliquely spathulate-linear, obtuse, somewhat shorter than the sepals. Lip at the base oblong, geniculate-decurved, slightly narrowed in apical half, apiculate, glabrous, at the base with a large obtusely apiculate callus, in front of this with a minute bilobulate callus, as long as the petals, above the base hardly 0.23 cm wide. Column in outline broadly rhombic, glabrous, hardly more than a third as long as the petals. Anther suborbicular, obtuse, glabrous. Ovary and pedicel glabrous, slender, c. 1.2 cm long.
