Type: Schlechter 17403 (B, lost); 19307 (B, lost; AMES, BO, E, K, L, NSW)

Epiphytic, leafless, slender; roots flattened, to 40 cm long, 0.2-0.35 cm wide, flexuose. Inflorescence slender, laxly several-flowered, rachis flexuose; including the filiform peduncle 12-20 cm long. Floral bracts deltoid, acute, much shorter than the ovary. Flowers large, glabrous. Sepals and petals lanceolate, strongly acuminate, 2.5 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Lip at the base elliptic, strongly acuminate, c. 2 cm long, near the middle 0.85 cm wide; spur oblongoid, obtuse, c. 0.25 cm long. Column short, glabrous; rostellum elongated bifid. Anther ovate-cucullate, shortly rostrate; pollinia obliquely obovoid; stipe thin, somewhat dilated towards the apex, almost 3 times longer than the pollinia; viscidium ovate, subacute.
