Roots thin, white. Rhizome 0.4 cm thick, pendulous, branched, covered with coarsely ribbed, white bracts. Pseudobulbs 1.5-2 cm apart, ovoid, bluntly quadrangular in cross-section, to 1.2 cm long. Leaves almost sessile, ovate, acute, strongly convex, to 33 mm long, 1.7 cm wide, the surface smooth. Inflorescence very short, 1-flowered. Pedicel and ovary together 0.8 cm long, the bract shorter. Flowers wide open. Sepals equal, ovate, acuminate, 0.7 by 0.5 cm, fleshy. Petals very short, triangular, 0.05 cm long, rather thick top; base of the upper margin a 0.1 cm long, club-shaped appendage covered with papillae; top four leaflike, linear appendages to 0.3 cm long, entirely covered with white hairs. Lip ovate-oblong, 2.8 mm long, fleshy, top rounded, centrally fimbriate with a longitudinal slit which opens towards both ends laterally with about ten stick-shaped dark red papillae of 0.05 cm long on both sides.
