Synonyms:
Epiphyte without leaves. Roots flexuose, flattened, up to 15 cm long, 0.15-0.2 cm wide. Inflorescence densely 2- to 4-flowered, peduncle very slender, densely muricate-hispid, up to 6 cm long. Floral bracts deltoid, apiculate, much shorter than the ovary. Flowers glabrous, except for the ovary . Sepals and petals patent, oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals somewhat shorter. Lip in outline very broadly ovate, subobtuse, swollen in front, below the apex along the margins on either side with a tooth-like, triangular lobe, as long as the sepals, below the middle 0.35 cm wide; spur cylindrical, straight, above the middle somewhat widened, 0.9 cm long, mouth above the base of the lip, pit-like. Column very short; rostellum large, resembling a proboscis. Anther square, apiculate; pollinia obliquely obovoid; stipe 3 times as long, at the base thin, apex widened; viscidium oblong, rather small. Flower yellowish brown.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1000 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
