Type: Schlechter 19634 (holo B, lost)

Epiphyte, spreading, c. 30 cm long. Rhizome stem-like, covered with sheaths. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs c. l cm apart, cylindrical, subparallel to the rhizome, 0.5-0.7 by 0.25 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf elliptic, apiculate, 2.7-3.3 by 0.8-1 cm near the middle; base weakly narrowed into a petiole. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts apiculate, much shorter than the ovary. Sepals elliptic, acute, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely ligulate, obtuse, glabrous, 0.15 cm long. Lip fleshy, oblong, obtuse, 0.3 cm long; base retuse; above grooved; underneath except base and apex covered with a dense cushion of fine hairs. Column short; stelidia subulate, reaching the middle of the lip; column-foot somewhat incurved. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary glabrous, hardly 0.4 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)


Flower blackish purple. Sepals with yellowish apex.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1300 m.
