Type: Cruttwell 1078 (holo K)

Small, rather rigid plant with 2-3 short leaves at the base of the stem. Leaves close together, amplexicaul, ovate, acute, to 4 by 2.5 cm Inflorescence narrowly cylindrical, rather dense. Floral bracts lanceolate, surpassing ovary. Ovary glabrous, shortly beaked, 0.8-1.2 cm long. Flowers small. Sepals ovate, to 0.4 cm long. Petals equal in length, ovate-triangular, 0.3 cm wide. Lip 3-lobed, with lateral lobes ligulate and deflexed, 0.3 by 0.1 cm, and a somewhat shorter middle lobe. Spur cylindrical, slightly swollen in apical half, apex obtuse, c. 0.5 cm long. Column with very short anther-channels and well developed staminodes. (After Renz, 1989)


Flowers yellowish-green.

Terrestrial in tree fern grassland; 3000 to 3167 m.
