Creeping epiphyte, to 25 cm or more long. Rhizome 2-4 mm diam., slender, covered with scarious sheaths. Pseudobulbs 2-4 cm, 1-1.5 cm. long and about 0.3-0.7 cm. in diameter, oblongoid to ovoid, straight or oblique, unifoliate. Leaves 4-7 by 1-3 cm, lanceolate to lanceolate-ovate, acute, coriaceous, subcordate at the base, sessile. Inflorescences lateral, fascicled, one-flowered. Median sepal 10 by 3 mm, oblong-elliptic, acute, 3-nerved. Lateral sepals 10 mm by 6 mm, obliquely obovate, subacute, 3-nerved. Petals 8 by 3.5 mm, narrowly obovate, slightly oblique, apex rounded, 1-nerved. Lip 8 mm long, 9 mm high, saccate, deeply emarginate, suborbicular when seen from the side. Column 4 mm long, somewhat curved; clinandrium divided into 3 segments on each side, two of which are cilia-like and one subpalmate and dentate. (After Williams, 1943)
