Epiphyte, very small, c. 10 cm high. Rhizome short. Pseudobulbs close-set. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid or ovoid-cylindrical, 0.7-1.2 by 0.3-0.5 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, ligulate, obliquely apiculate, 6.5-8.5 by 0.6-0.9 cm near the middle; base gradually weakly petiolate-narrowed. Inflorescence 1-flowered, short, with few small sheaths, usually shorter than the pseudobulbs. Floral bracts cucullate, apiculate, much shorter than the ovary. Pedicel and ovary slender, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. Sepals obovate-oblong, apiculate, 0.9 cm long. Median sepal with minutely finely ciliate margins. Lateral sepals oblique, glabrous. Petals in outline geniculate-ovate, acute, glabrous, 0.5 cm long; front margin above the base angular-dilated; in the middle gibbose-curved; outside with a high keel. Lip in outline elliptic, slipper-shaped, in total 0.9 by 0.4 cm near the middle; base very shortly clawed; basal auricles ascending, obliquely triangular, obtuse, the callus between them rounded, in front vanishing; in the middle slightly constricted; in front elongated in a very small, ovate, subobtuse lobule; inside without keels. Column very short; stelidia subulate, hardly longer than the basal 6th of the lip. Anther oblong-quadrangular, dorsally with two humps, in front slightly notched, serrulate, with an oblong umbo. Flowers densely spotted red on a pale base colour.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1000-2100 m.
