Epiphyte, very small, 6-10 cm high. Rhizome short, with close-set pseudobulbs. Roots filiform, elongate, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid or cylindrical-ovoid, 0.8-1 by 0.4-0.5 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Sepals elliptic, apiculate, the base gradually somewhat narrowed, outside minutely dotted-scaly, with 3 swollen-keeled nerves, 1 cm long. Median sepal in the apical half with rather inconspicuously finely ciliate margins, somewhat broader than the lateral sepals. Lateral sepals oblique, finely ciliate. Petals in outline rhombic, 0.5 cm long; base very shortly clawed; in the middle humped-curved; midrib outside swollen. Lip in outline broadly obovate, slipper-shaped; base very shortly clawed; basal auricles very small, suberect, oblong, obtuse, the callus between them low and rounded; margins especially towards the top thickened; inside with keeled midrib; apically elongated in a very small, triangular, obtuse lobule. Column short, glabrous; stelidia subulate, almost reaching the middle of the lip. Anther oblongoid-cucullate with a large umbo, glabrous. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)
