Epiphyte, creeping. Rhizome rooting. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs c. 1 cm apart, obliquely ovoid, grooved-angular, 0.8-1 by 0.5-0.65 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, elliptic, subobtuse, 4-6 by 2.2-2.5 cm near the middle; base weakly contracted in a petiole. Inflorescences 1-flowered, slender, erect, entirely densely prickly-papillose, to 8 cm long, with 2-3 distant, glabrous, small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, glabrous, much shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flower tube-shaped, open on one side, large. Sepals linear-lanceolate, acute, glabrous, up to above the middle connate in a boat-shaped blade, 5.7 cm long; apex deeply incised in three narrowly triangular slips. Petals obliquely fan-shaped-suborbicular, 0.25 by 0.35 cm; upper margin sublobulate; appendages 3, clavate, minutely papillose, the lower appendage large, rather thick, 1 cm long, the middle one thin, subfiliform, 0.7 cm long, the upper one somewhat thicker than the median one, 0.8 cm long. Lip thick, ellipsoid, glabrous, 0.35 cm long; margins with lines of warts; above in the middle with sparse warts; the narrow tip lobe-like, covered with warts. Column thick; stelidia short subulate; column-foot somewhat incurved. Ovary and pedicel c. 1.5 cm long, prickly with dense, backwards-pointing appendages.
