Epiphyte, ascending or spreading, to 20 cm long. Rhizome stem-like, gradually elongating. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuous, glabrous. Pseudobulbs cylindrical or cylindrical-conical, rather crowded, subparallel to the rhizome, 1.2-1.7 by 0.25-0.4 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaves erect or suberect, ligulate or linear-ligulate, minutely apiculate, glabrous, 4-7 by 0.7-0.9 cm near the middle; base narrowed. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, 0.4 cm long, covered with clasping peduncle-scales. Floral bracts similar to the scales, apiculate, shorter than the ovary. Flower glabrous, c. 1 cm wide. Sepals oblong, apiculate, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals somewhat broader than the median one, reflexed, oblique. Petals rhombic-elliptic, subacute, slightly oblique, 0.18 cm long. Lip immobile, fleshy, ligulate, subobtuse, smooth, glabrous, 0.4 cm long; underneath grooved; in the middle somewhat constricted. Column without column-foot, slightly curved, somewhat shorter than the petals; stelidia subporrect oblong-quadrangular, with few teeth, with a long median tooth. Anther oblong-cucullate, glabrous, with apiculate umbo. Ovary sessile, glabrous, cylindrical, 0.3 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
