Epiphyte, erect, 25-33 cm high. Rhizome creeping, more or less short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs 1.5-2 cm apart, cylindrical, 2.5-4.5 by 0.25-0.35 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, narrowly ligulate, acute, glabrous, 15-23 by 1.2-1.5 cm near the middle; base gradually narrowed into the 3.5-5 cm long petiole. Inflorescence laxly 4-8-flowered, erect, slender, with a few distant peduncle-scales. Floral bracts thin, cucullate, apiculate, shorter than the ovary. Flowers opening in succession, cleistogamous, medium sized, glabrous. Sepals narrowly lanceolate, acute, keeled outside. Median sepal 2 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, 2.7 cm long. Petals obliquely ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 0.35 cm long. Lip somewhat fleshy, tongue-shaped with narrower base, subobtuse, c. 1.3 cm long; above the base with 2 lines of warts which merge in the middle, in front of these with a few sparse warts along the median. Column thick, short; stelidia short, acute; column-foot ascending. Anther ovate-cucullate, umbonate, glabrous. Ovary subsessile, glabrous, cylindrical, c. 1.2 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
