Type: Bogor cult. (Gjellerup) 400 (not BO; holo L? (possibly C.249, no collector, no date)
Synonyms:
Pseudobulbs 1.3 by 1.5 cm. Inflorescence c. 44 cm long; at the base with crowded sheaths, small sheaths along the peduncle c. 6. Floral bracts c. 1.2-1.3 cm long. Median sepal keeled, c. 3 by 0.88 cm. Lateral sepals c. 3.4 by 1.28 cm. Petals in outline transversely quadrangular, in total 0.43 by 0.3 cm, lateral teeth triangular, lacerate-denticulate, 0.07 cm long; median tooth filiform-elongated, 0.2 cm long. Lip lanceolate, acute, not acuminate; lateral lobes minute, tooth-like, c. 2 by 0.6 cm. Column 0.9 by 0.45 cm; stelidia long, narrowly triangular, denticulate; column-foot c. 1 cm long, above the insertion of the lip with a transverse, 0.35 cm wide thickening. (After Smith, 1911)
Flower greenish yellow, lip in the centre brown-red with white apex.
Epiphyte in lowland forest; 40 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
