Synonyms:
Epiphyte, to 20 cm high. Rhizome elongated. Pseudobulbs to 4 cm apart, narrowly ovoid-quadrangular, one-leaved, to 4 cm high. Leaves narrowly elliptic, obtuse, to 15 by 2.5 cm; base subpetiolate-falcate. Inflorescence 1-flowered, to 8 cm long; peduncle slender, with 2-3 sheaths; floral bracts tubular, acuminate at the apex, to 1.5 cm long. Flowers fleshy. Pedicel and ovary cylindrical, c. 2.5 cm long. Median sepal 5 by 0.8 cm, inside hairy; base ovate-lanceolate; margins ciliate; top part long tail-like, smooth, over the whole length grooved, 3 cm long. Lateral sepals free, linear-lanceolate, up to 4.2 by 0.4 cm; basal half densely hairy, above the middle sparsely pubescent. Petals 0.8 cm long, glabrous; base orbicular, c. 0.3 cm long and; apex long antenna-like, c. 0.5 cm long, the top swollen cylindric over c. 0.25 cm. Lip fleshy, curved, narrowly subtriangular when viewed from above, to 0.3 cm long; upper surface with 2 patches of silky, forward pointing hairs. Column small, thick, about 0.2 cm high; stelidia erect, bidentate; column foot about 0.2 cm long.

Median sepal with whitish base and purple spots, the caudate extension maroon-purple. Lateral sepals white with spotted base. Petals yellowish green with purple veins, the antennae vary from greenish yellow spotted with purple to completely purple. Lip greenish yellow.
Epiphyte in disturbed and undisturbed montane forest, with or without Araucaria. Altitude 2300-2900 m asl.
Malesia (New Guinea).
