Epiphyte with stem-like rhizome to more than 20 cm long. Rhizome covered with semiamplexicaul, cucullate, ovate, short sheaths which are 7 mm long. Pseudobulbs 1.52 cm long and about 0.4-0.8 cm diam., ellipsoid to ovoid. Leaves 6by 1.5 cm, straight or arcuate, shortacuminate, coriaceous. Inflorescences 1 to few in fascicles from the base of the pseudobulbs and from the axils of all of the sheaths at each of the nodes of the rhizome, about equalling the subtending bracts. Median sepal 61.5 mm, lanceolate to linearacute, 3. Lateral sepals 6 by 2.5 mm, lanceolate to ellipticacute, slightly oblique, 3-nerved, the margins somewhat involute, free. Petals 1.5 by 1.25 mm, strongly 2 to 3-lobed, the posterior and middle lobes largest, the anterior lobe small or almost absent, so the petals appear to be about equally divided in most cases; the posterior lobe round, the terminal lobe acute. Lip about 4 mm long, 1 mm broad and 0.75 mm deep, linear-oblong, apical two thirds densely muriculate, the basal third much less so and with a smooth, subcanaliculate area above on the basal half. Column of the section, about 2 mm long. (After Williams, 1947)
