Epiphyte, to 12 cm high. Rhizome creeping. Pseudobulbs ovoid-4-angled, 2-3 by 1.0-1.5 cm; 1-leaved. Leaves broadly elliptic, 6-11 by 3-4 cm; base subsessile; apex rounded, emarginate. Inflorescences 1-flowered, from near the pseudobulbs or from rhizome, ca 10 cm long; peduncle slender, with 1 sheath. Floral bracts ovate, acuminate, 1.2 cm long. Median sepal strongly fleshy, at the base narrowly ovate, long caudate, glabrous, 6.0-6.5 by 0.5-0.7 cm wide. Lateral sepals thick, at the base narrowly ovate, long subterete-caudate, 4.5-5.0 by 0.3-0.5 cm; outside sparsely muriculate, shortly finely ciliate. Petals fairly thick, subquadrangular, in total 0.5 by 0.2 cm; apex extended in a narrowly linear-triangular, somewhat falcate, 0.3 cm long top. Lip fleshy, curved, ligulate, strigose, 0.3 by 0.2 cm; disc above hollow; apex truncate. Column low, broadly winged, 0.2 cm tall; stelidia triangular, in the middle with one tooth; column-foot as long as the column. Ovary pedicellate, 2 cm long. (After Garay, 1999)
