Rhizome very short, much branched; roots filiform, 0.7 mm in diameter. Pseudobulbs clustered, subglobose to ovoid-globose, 3-6 by 3-4 mm, longitudinally grooved, slightly rugose; sparsely hispid. Leaf shortly petiolate; petiole channelled, 1 mm long; blade ovate to oblong-ovate, 1.1-1.8 cm by 5-7 mm, thin-coriaceous, sparsely hispid; apex obtuse, minutely apiculate. Inflorescences arising from the base of the pseudobulb, erect, 1-flowered, 1.5-2 cm long. Peduncle very thin, 1-1.5 cm long, glabrous, consisting of two or three internodes, the basal one very short, peduncular scales tubular, 1 mm long. Floral bract tubular, oblique, 2.5 mm long. Pedicel 3.5 mm long, ovary 2 mm long, glabrous, terete. Dorsal sepal linear, 8 by 1.5 mm, acute. Lateral sepals free, linear-oblong, 8 by 2 mm, acute. Petals obliquely narrowly ovate, falcate, 1.6 by 0.6 mm, obtuse. Lip clawed, mobile; claw concave 1.3 by 1.3 mm, margins erect, at the base connected by a transverse wall; blade strongly convex above, strongly concave below, narrowly elliptic, 5.6 by 1.6 mm, 1.3 mm high, minutely papillose-muricate, on underside with two serrate keels, on either side of these with a shorter serrate keel, apex rounded. Column curved, 2 mm long, clinandrium bilobulate, weakly denticulate, lateral wings narrowly rectangular, bidentate; column-foot short, with an incurved, erect, closely appressed ligament to which the base of the lip is attached. Anther cucullate with a tall median ridge, 0.5 mm long, papillose. Pollinia 4 in two pairs, obliquely oblong-obovate in outline, 0.5 mm long, laterally flattened, those of a pair somewhat unequal. Pseudobulbs pale yellowish green. Leaf dark green. Inflorescence cream colour, ovary pale reddish purple. Sepals whitish, heavily suffused with red-purple; petals whitish with purple veins, lip in basal half bright yellow, apical half dark red-purple, claw lighter red-purple. Column whitish tinged purple, transparent, anther light yellow.

Epiphyte in forest; 550 m.
