Epiphyte, erect, c. 10 cm high. Rhizome stem-like, covered with sheaths. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs close together, parallel to the rhizome, cylindrical, 0.5-0.7 by 0.15-0.23 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf linear, apiculate, towards the base somewhat narrowed, 2.5-4.5 by 0.25-0.4 cm near the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, covered with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, much shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flower often cleistogamous. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, 0.55 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely ligulate, obtuse, 0.2 cm long; at the base the front margin subdilated. Lip oblong-ligulate, strongly obtuse, 0.33 cm long; in basal half sublobed-dilated; base incised; underneath in basal half with an oblong cushion of subulate papillae. Column very short; stelidia subulate, reaching the middle of the lip; column-foot apex somewhat incurved. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary glabrous, 0.7 cm long.
