Epiphyte, small, 15-20 cm high. Rhizome short, creeping. Pseudobulbs close together, narrowly cylindrical, its base flask-shaped-swollen, 1.5-2 by 0.3 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, obliquely linear, acute, glabrous, 12-17 by 0.4-0.7 cm around the middle; base narrowed. Inflorescences 1-flowered, solitary, c. 1 cm long; peduncle erect, at the base with few small sheaths. Floral bracts ovate, apiculate, many times shorter than the long pedicellate ovary. Flower erect. Median sepal lanceolate, subobtuse, glabrous, 0.8 cm long. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong, subobtuse, 0.9 cm long; base along the front margin somewhat dilated, forming with the column-foot a short, obtuse, 0.25 cm long mentum, clearly surpassing the median sepal. Petals much smaller than the sepals, obliquely oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.3 cm long; posterior margin above the base slightly dilated; upper half with large, obtuse papillae. Lip curved, oblong-narrowed, obtuse, glabrous, 0.45 by 0.3 cm below the middle; base broadly ovate; basal half with two ribs; underneath with thick longitudinal keels. Column short, 0.3 cm long; stelidia suberect, obliquely ligulate, subobtuse; column-foot narrow, incurved. Ovary and the long slender pedicel glabrous, 2 cm long . (After Schlechter, 1923)
