Synonyms:
Small epiphyte. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid, 0.4-0.7 by 0.25-0.35 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.7-1.3 by 0.3-0.4 cm near the middle. Inflorescence 1-flowered, 2-3.5 cm long, with a few small peduncle-scales, filiform. Floral bracts very small, much shorter than the ovary and pedicel. Flower erect. Sepals lanceolate, caudate-acuminate, 0.8 cm long, in the middle with finely ciliate margins. Lateral sepals oblique, glabrous. Petals elliptic, obtuse, 0.18 cm long; margins subdentate-irregular. Lip elliptic, obtuse, somewhat fleshy, 0.33 cm long; above the middle and along the margins especially underneath densely verruculose-papillose. Column short, glabrous; stelidia triangular, acuminate; column-foot incurved. Anther cordate-cucullate, umbonate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary slender, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Flower white with dark purple stripes. Petals with dark purple median stripe. Lip dark purple.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1200 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
