Epiphyte, very small, tufted, to 10 cm high. Rhizome short, Pseudobulbs crowded. Roots filiform, elongate, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs slender, conical, about terete, glabrous, 0.8-1.3 by 0.3-0.5 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaves linear-lanceolate, acuminate, towards the base gradually narrowed, subpetiolate, thin for the genus, glabrous, 6-9.5 by 0.4-0.7 cm near the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, terete, with few sheats, conspicuously shorter than the pseudobulb. Floral bracts ovate, acuminate shorter than the ovary. Flowers rather small for the genus, patent. Sepals narrowly lanceolate, narrowly acute, somewhat concave, c. 1 cm long, glabrous. Lateral sepals oblique, connate to the apex. Petals falcate-obliquely lanceolate, acute, hardly exceeding 0.15 cm long. Lip linear-tongue-shaped, obtuse, somewhat fleshy, curved, ascending, 0.9 cm long; base with ascending margins; underneath except in the middle densely papillose dotted. Column slender for the genus; stelidia short, bipartite; clinandrium dentate, dorsally the middle deeply incised; column-foot short. Anther oblong, obtuse. Ovary shortly pedicellate, glabrous 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1905)


Flower whitish. Sepals and petals striped violet. Lip brownish.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 440-600 m.
