Type: Schlechter 13699 (holo B, lost; iso AMES 2x, BRI (as Bulbophyllum 'karoense', inedit.))

Epiphyte, very small, 3-4 cm high. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs close together, very small, cylindrical, about terete, glabrous, ascending, 0.5-0.6 by 0.2 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, linear, to the apex somewhat dilated, very shortly acuminate, rather thick glabrous, 2.5-3.5 by 0.3 cm near the apex. Inflorescence erect, slender, almost as long as the pseudobulb, terete, glabrous, 1-flowered. Floral bracts ovate, acuminate, glabrous, much shorter than the ovary and pedicel. Flowers rather small in the genus, erect-patent. Sepals lanceolate, acute, 0.4 cm long. Lateral sepals somewhat oblique. Petals obliquely oblong, obtuse, 0.2 cm long. Lip somewhat fleshy, rhomboid-lanceolate, acute or subacuminate, glabrous, 0.3 cm long; basal half with 2 indistinct keels; above grooved. Column short, rather thick; stelidia very short, obtuse. Anther helmet shaped-cucullate, in front incised. Ovary pedicellate, clavate, glabrous, including the pedicel 0.4-0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1905)
