Type: Levy cult. (Bandish) 6340 (holo AMES)

Epiphyte. Rhizome creeping, branched. Pseudobulbs fairly close together, minute, disc-shaped; 1-leaved. Leaves fleshy, rigid, obovate or obovate-elliptic, obtuse, shortly apiculate, to 4.5 by 1.7 cm. Inflorescence 1-flowered; peduncle c. 6 cm long, covered with short, overlapping, papery sheaths. Flowers opening in succession, two-lobed. Median sepal narrowly ovate-triangular, obtuse, 1.1 by 0.3 cm; lower half with ciliate margins; upper half thickened. Lateral sepals similar to and as long as the median one but somewhat broader, connate. Petals ovate-triangular, acuminate, 0.45 by 0.2 cm; margins ciliate. Lip fleshy, in total 0.3 by 0.1 cm; lower half cymbiform; disc in the middle with high keels; upper half recurved; margins somewhat villose. Column thick, 0.2 cm tall; stelidia erect, very fleshy. Ovary cylindrical, subsessile, 0.2-0.3 cm long.(After Garay et al., 1995)


Sepals rather dark-coloured. Petals and lip dark brown.
