Epiphyte, erect or spreading, to 20 cm long. Rhizome stem-like, covered with sheaths. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs subparallel to the rhizome, cylindrical, 0.4-0.6 by 0.15-0.2 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf linear, apiculate, 0.3-0.7 by 0.25-0.6 cm near the middle; base gradually somewhat narrowed. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, covered with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts much shorter than the shortly pedicellate ovary. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, acute, 0.4 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely linear-ligulate, obtuse, glabrous, 0.2 cm long. Lip tongue-shaped, oblong, obtuse, fleshy, 0.28 cm long; base somewhat dilated; underneath with large short papillae except on the base and the median groove. Column short; stelidia subulate, distinctly exceeding the middle of the lip; column-foot somewhat incurved. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Ovary shortly pedicellate, glabrous, 0.4 cm long. Flower greenish. Petals spotted red. Lip on underside with red papillae.

Epiphyte in lowland forest; 250-2100 m.
