Type: Schlechter 13819 (holo B, lost; iso K)

Epiphyte, creeping, 15-20 cm high. Rhizome short. Pseudobulbs crowded. Roots filiform, elongate, flexuose, villose, finally almost glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid, about terete, glabrous, 2.3-2.7 by 1-1.2 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaf oblong, acuminate, coriaceous, glabrous, 13-19 by 3.5-5.5 cm near the middle; base narrowed into a short, c. 2 cm long petiole. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, covered with peduncle-scales. Floral bracts ovate, acuminate, much shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flowers large for the genus, almost two times as high as the pseudobulbs. Median sepal lanceolate, acuminate glabrous, 3.6 cm long. Lateral sepals oblong-lanceolate, somewhat acute, falcate, glabrous, hardly as long as the median sepal; front margins halfway connate. Petals minute, oblong-ligulate, subfalcate, acuminate, glabrous, 0.4 cm long. Lip lanceolate-tongue-shaped, somewhat fleshy, subacute, glabrous except the margin ciliolate, curved, 0.6 cm long; base subquadrangular. Column short, rather thick; stelidia triangular, acute, hardly exceeding the anther; column-foot thickened, elongate. Anther oblong, obtuse, glabrous. Ovary pedicellate, clavate, glabrous, ca. 2.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1905)

Epiphyte in lowland forest; 200-300 m.
