Epiphyte, creeping. Rhizome rather thick. Pseudobulbs to 1.5 cm apart, angular-ovoid, appressed to the rhizome, 1.5 cm high, 1 cm diam., 1-leaved. Leaves ovate, 3.5 by 1.8 cm, fleshy, acute, rounded at the base, sessile. Inflorescence very thin, 1-flowered, to 4 cm long; peduncle 2 cm long. Floral bract sheathing, appressed, 0.5 cm long. Median sepal narrowly oblanceolate, 2.7-3 by 0.7 cm, acute. Lateral sepals patent, obliquely linear-oblong, 2.7-3 by 0.7 cm, acute. Petals filiform, at the base with two auricles, 1 cm long, auricles 0.1 cm long. Lip with sponge-like texture, in outline ovate-elliptic, 1.5 cm long, apex apiculate, incurved, at the base short-cuneate, on the upper side provided with rows of scale-hairs. Column without foot, 0.4 cm long, slightly curved, swollen towards the base. Pedicel 2 cm long; ovary 0.5 cm long. (After Garay, Hamer & Siegerist, 1995)
