Type: Leiden cult. 31965 (Schuiteman, Mulder & Vogel) (holo L)

Plant pendulous. Roots filiform, flexuose, to 0.12 cm thick; glabrous. Rhizome short. Pseudobulbs c. 1.5 cm apart on the rhizome, closely appressed against the rhizome and the base of the next pseudobulb, slender cylindrical, 2.4–2.7 by 0.4–0.5 cm; tapering to the top; 6-ribbed. Leaves ovate-oblong, c. 4.6 by 1 cm, index c. 4.6; base narrowed; apex with acute lobules. Inflorescences 1(–2) per pseudobulb, developing in succession, c. 2.5 cm long; peduncle c. 0.4 cm long, shorter than the spathe; spathe 0.7–0.8 cm long. Pedicel and ovary c. 2 cm long; pedicel 6-ribbed; ovary with 6 ribs. Flower c. 1.5 cm across. Median sepal narrowly triangular, widest just above the base, c. 0.85 by 0.25 cm; somewhat concave; apex acute; 5-nerved. Lateral sepals obliquely narrowly triangular, widest at the base, c. 0.9 by 0.6 cm; somewhat concave; apex acute; 5-nerved; mentum conical, obtuse, c. 0.5 cm long. Petals narrowly linear, c. 0.7 by 0.08 cm; somewhat concave; apex acute; top half somewhat swollen; 3-nerved. Lip oblong-ligulate, hardly constricted at about the middle, when flattened c. 1 cm long; 5-keeled, keels all glabrous; hypochile when flattened in outline semi-elliptic, c. 0.5 by 0.3 cm; base rather narrowly attached leaving tiny rounded receding auricles; lateral lobes absent; keels 2, rather wide apart, parallel, plate-like with a swollen crest, on junction of the hypochile and epichile converging; in top 1/4 of the hypochile with a lower, thinner, straight median keel; epichile elliptic, c. 0.5 by 0.3 cm; apex obtuse, apiculate, below without a keel-like midrib; median keel slightly undulating, towards the apex about equally high as the inner lateral keels; inner lateral keels plate-like, much undulating (c. 6 curves), with swollen crest, shorter than the median keel; outer lateral keels in basal half of the epichile, low, somewhat undulating, with irregular margin without swollen crest; median keel continuing to the top of the epichile; the nerves of the inner lateral keels connected to the median nerve distinctly before the top of the epichile; the nerves of the outer lateral keels more or less branched, the branches curved, at their tips running c. parallel to the margin of the epichile. Column in lateral view oblique triangular, c. 0.18 by 0.2 cm, c. 0.18 cm wide; clinandrium 3-lobulate, the lateral lobules broadly triangular, the median lobule subulate, c. 0.5 cm long; column- foot rather strongly curved at c. 1/4 of its base, in natural position c. 0.55 cm long, Anther not seen
(After De Vogel in De Vogel, Vugt & Hoogendijk 2018)
