Dendrobium cynthiae Schuit. is similar to D. eymanum Ormerod, but differs in the clavate pseudobulbs with 3 large internodes (versus pseudobulbs of uniform thickness, with 5 or more large internodes). the callus ridges on the hypochile not reaching the base of the midlobe (versus callus ridges extending to the base of the midlobe), the flattened midlobe of the lip is much wider than long (versus midlobe longer than wide), and mentum 0.4 cm long (versus mentum 0.75-0.8 cm long).
