IN PREPARATION


Sepals outside solid magenta, inside creamy white. Petals white, outside solid magenta but the upper half except the top part white. Lip white with magenta stripes

Terrestrial, often locally common on open places secondary vegetation, either or not with or in shrub vegetation or in open heath forest or in herb vegetation on peat with some low shrubs

Dendrobium latipetalum (J.J.Sm.) Schuit. resembles D. montis-yulei Kraenzl. but differs in the 3 callus ridges on the lip of c. equal length which end well below the base of the epichile (versus median callus ridge longer than the laterals and ending at the base of the epichile), the obovate-oblong petals (versus spatulate, the elliptic leaves (versus linear-oblong) and the taller inflorescences with internodes several times longer than the peduncle scales (versus internodes shorter than the peduncle scales)
