Type: Kloss s.n. (Camp 1, 700 ft.); (Camp 6a, 3100 ft.) (syn BM)

Pseudobulbs close together, conical, 1.5 by 0.4 cm. Roots long, slender. Leaf oblong, lanceolate, thin coriaceous; base narrowed; apex shortly narrowed; midrib hardly distinct. Racemes several from the base of a pseudobulb, close together, sessile, 0.5 cm high. Floral bracts several, lanceolate, cuspidate, 0.2 cm long. Pedicel and ovary 0.5 cm. long. Sepals lanceolate, acute, cuspidate, subequal, yellowish, 0.6 by 0.2 cm. Median sepal somewhat narrower. Petals minute, ovate, cuspidate, shorter than the column. Lip fleshy, tongue-shaped, obtuse, thick, purple; apex yellow; margins semiovoid to base raised; midrib in the middle raised. Column elongate, curved; base dilated; top part narrowed; margins of the clinandrium and the stelidia short oblong, dentate. Anther rather large, oblong-elliptic. (After Ridley, 1916)


Flower yellowish. Lip purple or brownish with a yellow tip.
