Glomera kuperensis Ormerod, Malesian Orchid J. 16 (2015) 63, fig. 9.

Type: R. Höft 3602 (holo A).

Epiphytic (?) herb. Rhizome and roots not seen. Stem at the base terete, higher up subterete, 2-3-branched, 14 by 0.25-0.42 cm wide across the leaf sheaths; branchlets 4.5- 5.2 cm long. Leaves rigid, thinly coriaceous, patent to weakly erect, ovate-lanceolate, 1-2.3 by 0.6-0.9 cm; leaf sheaths tubular, obliquely truncate to truncate, smooth, weakly striate when dry, exposed part 0.2-1.1 cm long; midnerve carinate below; apex acute to subacute. Pedicel and ovary cla vate, c. 0.59 cm long. Inflorescence terminal, semig1obose, many-flowered, basally enclosed by a few sheaths, 1.5 by 2.2-3 cm. Flower colour unknown. Median sepal elliptic, lower margins joined to lateral sepals for c. 0.25 cm, 0.69 by 0.32 cm; apex subacute-obtuse; 4-nerved. Lateral sepals oblong-elliptic to elliptic, 0.7 by 0.32-0.35 cm; apex subacute; 2-3-nerved; inner margins united to form a subquadrate, narrowly retuse synsepalum 0.6 by 0.67 cm that forms a c. 0.2 cm long conical and obtuse enclosure over the spur. Petals oblong­ subrhombic, 0.64 by 0.29 cm; apex obtuse; 3-nerved. Lip spurred, entire, joined to column for c. 0.07 cm; spur broadly conical-oblongoid, c. 0.18 by to 0.2 mm, with obtuse apex; epichile subquadrate, c. 0.2.9 by 0.29 cm, broadly obtuse, 5-7-nerved. Column 0.2-0.2 cm long; arms lanceolate, subacute.

Flower colour unknown.

Mid-montane forest with Nothofagus pullei, N. carrii, N. grandis, Macaranga trichanthera, Rapanea leucantha and Homalanthus spp. Altitiude 2050 m.

Glomera kuperensis is recognised by its rigid, thinly coriaceous leaves with acute apex, and flowers that are reminiscent of G. macrantha. However, the latter has longer leaves (5-8 versus 1-2,3 cm) and densely rugulose­ verrucose leaf sheaths ( versus smooth).
