Agrostophyllum reeveanum Ormerod, Orchadian 17 (2012) 234, fig.
Type: T.M. Reeve 2650 (holo K; iso LAE, NSW).
Synonyms:
Epiphytic herb. Roots and rhizome not seen. Stem fragment semiterete, compressed, c. 16 leaved, covered by leaf sheaths, 19 by 0.25 cm, 0.4 cm wide across the leaf sheaths. Leaves , erect, thin, linear-lanceolate, 10.5-11.by 0.40-0.43 cm; leaf sheaths in upper half split open, , with triangular to lanceolate stipules with acute apex 0.05-0.08 cm long; apex equally to inequally 2-dentate. Inflorescence terminal, a loosely flowered capitulum with several bracts, sheaths and flowers c. 3 cm diam. Pedicel and ovary terete, c. 0.75 cm long. Median sepal lanceolate, 0.61 by 0.25 cm; apex acute; 5-nerved; thinly carinate towards the apex. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate-lanceolate, 0.8 (7.5 mm long along midrib) by 0.29 cm; apex acute; 5-nerved; thinly carinate in apical third. Petals ligulate-lanceolate; apex acute; 3-nerved, 0.56 by 0.15 cm. Lip 3-lobed, c. 0.775 cm long (including the 0.075 cm long acumen); hypochile retrorse saccate, sac 0.11 cm long, lateral lobes rounded-truncate, c. 0.3 by 0.2 cm; ligula subquadrate, 2-dentate, papillose, exceeding lateral lobes by c. 0.08 cm; epichile trilobulate, trapeziform, 0.49 (including acumen) by 0.55 cm, midlobe transversely oblong, c. 0.13 (without acumen) by 0.3 cm. Column obliquely erect, semiterete, 0.35 cm long (without anther).
