Rhizome short, covered with long scales, roots elongated, filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs crowded, 1-leaved, slender, to the base slightly widened, 6-12 by 0.2-0.3 (at the base) to 0.15-0.2 cm (near the apex). Leaves linear-ligulate, 6.5-9 by 0.5-0.7 cm, base subpetiolate-cuneate, apex subacute, unequally bilobulate. Inflorescences arising in succession from the apex of the pseudobulb, 1-flowered; spathe laterally compressed, subacute. Pedicel and ovary 4.5 cm long, slender, glabrous. Flower resupinated, c. 5 cm wide. Dorsal sepal lanceolate, narrowing to the elongated apex, 2.8 cm long. Lateral sepals obliquely lanceolate, narrowing to the elongated apex, widened to the base, 2.8 cm long, mentum 0.45 cm long, obtuse. Petals obliquely linear-lanceolate, narrowing to the elongated apex, c. 2.8 cm long. Lip 3-lobed below the middle, 1.1 by 0.4 cm, with two parallel keels extending from the base to the middle, the keels somewhat dilated distally, in front of the keels with a small elliptic farinose-puberulous callus which has a beak-like, glabrous extension towards the apex of the lip; lateral lobes short, obtuse; midlobe pandurate, obtuse; margins of the lip recurved, to the base undulate-crenulate. Column short, clinandrium 3-lobulate, the median lobule subulate, the laterals much shorter, sparsely denticulate; column-foot 0.45 cm long. Anther subglobose-cucullate, glabrous, in front truncate.

Sepals and petals white with yellow tips. Lip white, in the basal half with red veins, near the apex yellow.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest. Altitude 1000-1300 m.

New Guinea (endemic).

Papua New Guinea (Madang Province: Finisterre Mountains).

Intermediate growing epiphyte.
