Synonyms:
Pseudobulbs crowded, 1-leaved, at the base subellipsoid, 0.8-1 cm long, upper part slender, 6-6.4 cm long. Leaves erect, linear, 4.1-6.8 by 0.2-0.25 cm, coriaceous, apex unequally obtusely triangular-bidentate. Inflorescences 1-flowered, spathe linear, 0.9-1.2 cm long; peduncle 1.2 cm long. Pedicel 2.7 cm long; ovary 0.33 cm long, curved, obconical. Flower c. 5 cm across. Dorsal sepal 3.7 cm by 2.6 mm. Lateral sepals 3.55 cm by 5 mm, mentum 0.4 cm long, obtuse. Petals 3.5 cm by 1.5 mm. Lip 3-lobed, 1.5 by 0.43 cm, with two keels, on the midlobe in basal 3/4 with a farinose band of papillae; midlobe 1 by 0.3 cm. Column 0.3 cm long; column-foot 0.36 cm long.

Dendrobium ditschiense J.J.Sm. is closely related to Dendrobium araneola Schltr. and Dendrobium vanleeuwenii J.J.Sm., among others.
