Warm growing epiphyte.

Not known.

  • Family Orchidaceae
  • Subfamily Epidendroideae
  • Tribe Dendrobieae
  • Subtribe Dendrobiinae
  • Genus Dendrobium
  • Section Grastidium
  • Species Dendrobium xylophyllum

It is unclear if Dendrobium xylophyllum Kraenzl is a member of section Grastidium, although this is suggested from the description of the flowers, which together with that of the habit is vaguely reminiscent of Dendrobium insigne. On the other hand, if Kraenzlin's description of the inflorescences is accurate, section Pleianthe seems more appropriate, but this species may not even belong in Dendrobium.
