Synonyms:
Small epiphyte. Rhizome short. Pseudobulbs 0.3-0.5 cm apart, ovoid-cylindrical, 1-1.7 cm high. Leaf erect, lanceolate-elliptic, acute, 3.5-5.5 by 0.8-1.5 cm below the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, covered with peduncle-scales. Floral bracts as long as the ovary. Flower outside minutely papillose. Sepals oblong. Median sepal obtuse, margins very minutely finely ciliate, 0.6 cm long. Lateral sepals c. 13 cm long, at the base boat-shaped-connate, extended in two very long, flaccid, filiform tails with clavate-thickened apex. Petals minute, quadrangular-suborbicular, broadly obtuse, glabrous. Lip ovate-lanceolate, obtuse, 0.23 cm long; base cuneate; margins minutely and densely finely ciliate. Column very short; stelidia rhombic-acuminate; column-foot thickened, very large. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Ovary sessile, glabrous, 0.2 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Flower rose-red, near the base whitish. Tails of the lateral sepals white with yellow apex. Lip yellow, with red margin.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1400-1800 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
Intermediate growing epiphyte.
