Type: Copland King s.n. (E. Coast New Guinea) (holo BRI, iso BO, K).

Synonyms:

Stems (only fragment described) slightly laterally compressed, more than 18 cm by 5 mm, many-leaved. Leaf sheaths with brown margins. Leaves oblong to obcuneate, 5-6 by 1.2-1.6 cm, prominently veined, apex obliquely bilobulate. Inflorescences lateral, 1- or perhaps 2-flowered. Pedicel and ovary 1-1.2 cm long. Flowers 1.8-2 cm long. Sepals linear, 5 mm wide, apex subobtuse; mentum slightly curved, obtuse. Petals similar to the sepals, but a little shorter and narrower. Lip much shorter, strongly incurved, hiding the column, margin deeply fringed.
