Type: Levy cult. 6197 (Bandish) (holo AMES)

Epiphyte. Rhizome creeping, twisted, entirely covered with cylindrical, appressed sheaths. Pseudobulbs 3-4 cm apart, erect or somewhat oblique, ascending, subcylindrical, somewhat laterally compressed, 3-4 by 0.8-1 cm thick; 1-leaved. Leaves linear-oblong or oblong-elliptic, obtuse, to 11 by 2.5 cm; base gradually subpetiolate. Inflorescences 1-flowered, wiry, to 10 cm long. Floral bracts tubular. Sepals patent, aliqot, recurved, ovate-elliptic, obtuse, shortly apiculate, 1.4 by 0.7-0.8 cm; inside hirsute. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals subquadrangular, 1-nerved, 0.2 by 0.15 cm; apex bilobulate, lobules semirounded, glandular, between the lobules shortly mucronate. Lip fleshy, linear-ligulate, in front rounded, 0.6 by 0.1 cm; base folded back on itself; laterally somewhat compressed; 2-keeled, in the middle grooved. Column thick, 0.1 cm tall; stelidia pointing upwards, falcate-triangular, acute; column-foot incurved, on either side auriculate, 0.15 cm long. Ovary pedicellate, 0.5 cm long. Flower ochrish-yellow. Lateral sepals in the middle longitudinally olive coloured. Petals similarly coloured, with brown lobules.
