Type: Kloss s.n. (Camp 1, 500 ft.) (holo BM, iso K).

Synonyms:

Stems elongated, slightly flattened, 20 cm by 5-8 mm. Leaf sheaths with thin ribs, 3 cm long. Leaves lanceolate, 15 by 2.2 cm, papyraceous, keel inconspicuous, narrowed to the apex. Inflorescences 2-flowered, spathe consisting of hemispherical, rounded, external scales and oblong, ovate, rounded 7 mm long (and ?7 mm wide, fide Ridley) interior scales. Pedicel and ovary 3 cm long. Flowers c. 3 cm across. Dorsal sepal linear, 1.6 cm by 2 mm, cucullate, carnose, papillose, apex obtuse. Lateral sepals oblong, falcate, 4 mm wide, apex obtuse; mentum short. Petals oblanceolate, 1 cm by 0.3 mm, apex obtuse. Lip weakly 3-lobed subquadrate-oblong in outline, with a short, curved, channelled basal claw, with 3 veins prominently papillose on the midlobe, otherwise without callus; lateral lobes short, curved, obtuse; midlobe broad, fleshy, glabrous, margins undulate, apex truncate. Column very short, clinandrium with prominent slender lobules. Anther high, conical-oblong, apex rounded retuse.
