Type: Micholitz s.n. (1894, New Ireland, Cape Carteret to Port Praslin) (holo HBG, iso HBG).

Rhizome short. Stems crowded, slender, 40-50 cm long, densely many-leaved along entire length. Leaf sheaths granulose. Leaves linear, 3 by 0.4 cm, keeled below, apex bilobulate, lobules obtuse. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short. Flower c. 0.6 cm long. Dorsal sepal ovate, apex acute. Lateral sepals with the free part ovate, apex acute; mentum obtuse, rounded. Petals much shorter than the sepals, linear. Lip 3-lobed, on the disc with a few hardly raised lines; lateral lobes rounded, front margin thickened; midlobe with a short claw, orbicular, thick, cartilaginous, margins inrolled. Column very short, stelidia hardly developed, filament subulate. Anther in front retuse, obscurely 4-locular. Fruit globose.

Sepals and petals greenish yellow, lip purple.
Not known. Probably in the lowlands.
