Type: Schlechter 19552 (holo B, lost; iso K)

Epiphyte, pendulous, to 50 cm long. Rhizome flexuose, stem-like. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs dense, 0.5 cm distant, strongly depressed, oblong, 0.3-0.5 by 0.15-0.3 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf erect-patent, ovate, apiculate, 1-2 by 0.6-1 cm below the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, with very small, inconspicuous peduncle-scales. Floral bracts acuminate, about as long as the ovary. Flower erect-patent. Sepals lanceolate, caudate-acuminate, 0.6 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, lower margin minutely finely ciliate. Petals obliquely lanceolate, caudate-acuminate, glabrous, somewhat shorter than the sepals. Lip shortly clawed, rhombic-lanceolate, caudate-elongated, as long as the petals; above the base with a very small callus; margins minutely finely ciliate except at the base. Column short; stelidia falcate-lanceolate, apiculate; column-foot suberect. Anther cucullate, dorsally papillose-puberulous. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.1 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)


Flower white. Lateral sepals with longitudinal red stripes. Lip red with paler margins.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1200 m.
