Synonyms:
Stems elongated, terete, in upper part slightly laterally compressed, 100 cm long, internodes 1.3-3 cm long. Leaf sheaths much longer than the internodes, apex truncate. Leaves widely patent, linear-lanceolate, 9-10 by 0.95-1.5 cm, coriaceous, apex strongly unequally obtusely bidentate. Inflorescences laterally from the stems; peduncle 0.55 cm long, 2-flowered. Pedicel 1.1 cm long; ovary 0.38-0.6 cm long. Flowers 1.8-2.5 cm across, sweetly aromatic. Dorsal sepal 1.3-1.5 cm by 6-6.8 mm; mentum 0.6-0.63 cm long, truncate. Petals 1.2-1.5 cm by 5.5-7.8 mm. Lip 3-lobed, when flattened 0.94-1.23 by 0.67-0.7 cm; midlobe 0.48-0.55 by 0.68-0.8 cm. Column 0.45-0.47 cm long; column-foot 0.6-0.68 cm long.

Flower yellowish white to creamy yellow, lip at the base with a V-shaped yellow spot, column-foot with a blue-violet W-shaped mark, anther light yellow.
Epiphyte forest on cliffs at the coast. Altitude 10 m.
New Guinea (endemic).

Dendrobium hollandianum belongs in the affinity of Dendrobium igneum, Dendrobium podochiloides, and others, but differs e.g. in the much longer leaves.
