Type: Schlechter 14493 (holo B, lost).
Synonyms:
Roots elongated, filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Stems pendulous, slender, terete, branched, to 20 cm by 1-1.5 mm, many-leaved. Leaf sheaths 0.1-0.15 cm wide, entirely covering the stem. Leaves erect-patent, linear, 1-1.5 by 0.15-0.2 cm, apex unequally minutely bilobulate, coriaceous. Inflorescences arising laterally from the stem, 1-flowered, sessile, at the base with a laterally compressed cucullate sheath. Floral bract minute, much shorter than the pedicel and ovary. Pedicel and ovary 0.6 cm long, clavate, glabrous. Flower not resupinated, c. 1 cm long. Dorsal sepal oblong, 0.5 cm long, apex obtuse. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong, sublobate-widened at the base, 0.5 cm long, coherent along the front margins, apex obtuse. Petals subfalcate, obliquely oblong-lanceolate, almost as long as the sepals, apex obtuse. Lip 3-lobed near the apex, 0.6 by 0.25 cm, linear-cuneate at the base, inside minutely pubescent, with two lamellae which are confluent near the apex; lateral lobes short, abruptly truncate; midlobe oblong, margins subundulate, obtuse. Column short, clinandrium with a triangular dorsal tooth; column-foot long. Anther rounded-cucullate, in front excised.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest. Altitude 1000 m.
New Guinea (endemic).
