Rhizome very short, roots elongated, filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Stems crowded, erect, laterally compressed, unbranched, 25-30 cm by 4-5 mm, densely many-leaved. Leaf sheaths entirely covering the stem, ancipitous. Leaves erect, linear-ligulate, 4-5 by 0.6-0.8 cm, base subpetiolate, apex obtuse, unequally bilobulate. Inflorescences arising laterally from the stem, 1-flowered, sessile. Pedicel and ovary 0.5 cm long, glabrous. Flower not resupinated, c. 1 cm across. Dorsal sepal ovate-triangular, 0.7 cm long, apex obtuse. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate-triangular, widened at the base, 0.7 cm long, apex obtuse; mentum 0.45 cm long, obtuse. Petals obliquely oblong-ligulate, a little shorter than the sepals, apex subacute. Lip 3-lobed in apical third, 0.7 by 0.4 cm, hypochile oblong, concave, with incurved margins, with a low backwards-pointing basal callus; lateral lobes indistinct, obliquely truncate; epichile distinctly narrower than the hypochile, broadly ovate, minutely papillose towards the margins, subacute. Column short, clinandrium 3-lobulate, with triangular lobules; column-foot oblong, 0.45 cm long. Anther rounded-cucullate, glabrous, with a low swelling.
