Type: Kloss s.n. (Camp 3 to 8, 2500 to 4900 ft.) (holo BM, iso K).

Stems elongated, flattened, to more than 30 cm long, 3 mm wide, many-leaved. Leaf sheaths 0.5 cm long, ribbed. Leaves lanceolate, 4 by 0.8-1.1 cm, apex acuminate, unequally bilobulate. Inflorescences lateral, 2-flowered, spathe consisting of semiovate external scales and ovate, subacute, 0.1 cm long internal scales. Pedicel and ovary 1 cm long, slender. Flowers c. 1.2 cm across. Dorsal sepal oblong, 0.7 cm by 3 mm, apex subacute. Lateral sepals broader than the dorsal sepal, ovate; mentum conical, 0.2 cm long, obtuse. Petals oblong, lanceolate, 0.7 cm long. Lip 3-lobed, 0.5 cm long, slightly narrowed at the base, with a high median, undulating keel which is thickened towards the apex; lateral lobes lanceolate, 2 mm long, obtuse; midlobe cuneate, deeply emarginate, with elongated, acute apices. Column shorter than the column-foot, margins winged, clinandrium 3-lobulate, the lateral lobules large, oblong, truncate, the median slender and longer. Anther bell-shaped. Fruit ellipsoid, 1.5 cm long, with the pedicel 2 cm long.

Not recorded, perhaps greenish according to Ridley.

Epiphyte in hill forest and lower montane forest. Altitude 600-1200 m.

New Guinea (endemic).

Papua (Timika Mimika Regency).

Intermediate growing epiphyte.
