Synonyms:
Stem almost straight, 50-90 cm long, at the base 4-8-leaved. Leaves erect-patent, elliptic-lanceolate, 20 by 5 cm, narrowed to the base, apex acute to shortly acuminate. Inflorescence racemose, peduncle-scales distant, acuminate; rachis 15-20 cm long, laxly many-flowered. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, almost as long as the ovary, apex acuminate. Ovary 1.7-2 cm long, weakly keeled, the keels very minutely ciliate. Flowers erect-patent to patent. Median sepal 0.6-0.65 by 0.5 cm, 3-nerved, mid-vein very minutely ciliate. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate-elliptic, 0.6 by 0.35 cm, deflexed, 3-nerved, glabrous. Petals adhering to the median sepal, entire, linear-lanceolate, somewhat falcate, 0.6 by 0.15 cm, margins very shortly ciliate, apex rather obtuse. Lip 3-lobed just above the base, glabrous, almost cruciform when spread, spurred; lateral lobes straight, lanceolate, 0.4 by 0.08 cm, subacute; mid-lobe linear, fleshy, margins more or less involute, 0.45 cm long, slightly longer than the lateral lobes; spur narrowly cylindrical, strongly incurved, 1.5-1.7 cm long, slightly dilated at the apex. Column 0.3 cm long, obtuse; mid-lobe of rostellum low; stigmatophores short, 0.1 cm long. Anther channels porrect, elongated, 0.3 cm long. (After Renz, 1987).
Flower light yellowish green.
Terrestrial in lowland forest on hills and limestone cliffs.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
Warm growing terrestrial, keep in shade in humus-rich compost.
