Synonyms:

Terrestrial, erect, about 20 cm high. Rhizome decumbent, stem-like; roots elongated, flexuose, villose. Stem straight or nearly straight, up to the apex laxly 6-leaved, terete, glabrous. Leaves petiolate, erect-patent or patent, blade obliquely ovate-lanceolate, acute or acuminate, glabrous, 3-5.5 cm long, below the middle 1.3-1.9 cm wide, petiole at the base dilated, sheathing, 1.3-2 cm long. Rachis densely many-flowered, cylindrical, about 3 cm long, 1.5 cm wide across the flowers. Bracts lanceolate, acute, erect-patent, overtopping the flowers, the upper ones gradually becoming smaller. Flowers erect-patent, glabrous. Sepals oblong, ligulate, obtuse, towards the apex outside minutely verruculose, 2.5 mm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely ligulate, subacute, above the middle along the outer margin somewhat dilated, as long as the sepals. Lip about as long as the petals, ovate, narrowed towards the apex, obtuse, at the base subcucullate-concave, inside up to near the middle sparsely covered with subulate-dentiform appendages. Column shorter, in front indistinctly keeled, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 3.5 mm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914).
