Epiphyte, long pendulous, up to 60 cm long; rhizome very short, roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous; stems branched, slender, elongated, flexuose, leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves linear or ligulate- linear, shortly and obtusely bilobulate, at the base cuneate, glabrous, 1.5-2 cm long, 0.15-0.25 cm wide; sheaths closely appressed, densely striate-nervose, sparsely verruculose, apical margins fimbriate-ciliate with several unequally long, small setae, 0.6-0.9 cm long. Flowers solitary, glabrous. Spathe broadly elliptic, subacute, cucullate-clasping, outside with sparsely black dots. Floral bracts hyaline, similar to but smaller than the spathe. Sepals oblong, apiculate, 0.55 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, at the base somewhat dilated along the front margins. Petals oblong-spathulate, in lower half distinctly narrowed, apex broadly obtuse, oblique, 0.6 cm long. Lip obovate, obtuse, 0.35 cm long, above the middle 0.3 cm wide, spur short, semioblong, obtuse, 0.2 cm long and wide. Column short, glabrous, about a third as long as the lip, clinandrium semiorbicular, irregularly dentate-crenulate. Anther very broadly cucullate, obtusely umbonate, in front ascending, obtuse, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.4 cm long.

Flower white, lip apex with a patch of fine grey-green dots; anther light brown with white humps.

Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1300 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
