Almost shrub-like, low, erect or subpendent, to 30 cm long, much branched at the base. Stems and branches many-leaved, only slightly compressed, entirely covered with very tightly clasping, striate, rugulose, leaf-sheaths with several bristle-like apical appendages. Leaves erect-patent linear, 1.5-2 by 0.15-0.25 cm, base somewhat narrowed, unequally and obtusely bilobulate, somewhat carnose, glabrous, almost twice as long as the sheaths. Spathe elliptic-cucullate, glabrous, large. Flowers glabrous. Sepals elliptic-oblong, 0.65-0.7 cm long, subacute, lateral sepals subfalcate, apiculate, cohering. Petals obovate-spathulate, 0.8-0.85 cm long, broadly obtuse, oblique, slightly longer than the sepals. Lip blade suborbicular, 0.3-0.35 cm long, broadly obtusely apiculate, less than half as long as the sepals; spur oblongoid, 0.25 cm long, obtuse, apex free, only slightly protruding from between the bases of the lateral sepals. Column short, clinandrium dorsally semiorbicular, denticulate. Ovary sessile, cylindrical, 0.45 cm long, glabrous.

Flower pure white, lip apex with a patch of grey-green papillae.

Epiphytic in montane forest. Altitude 1050-1300 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
