Epiphyte, erect or patent, up to 35 cm long; rhizome very short; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous; stems more or less branched, slender, densely leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves erect-patent, linear or linear-ligulate, strongly unequally and obtusely bilobulate, at the base subpetiolate-narrowed, glabrous, 0.8-1.5 cm long, near the middle 0.15-0.23 cm wide; sheaths closely appressed, nerves somewhat thickened, sometimes verruculose, few-striate, apical margin fimbriate-ciliate with several subulate setae, 0.3-0.7 cm long. Flowers solitary, glabrous. Spathe broadly elliptic, apiculate, clasping, veined. Floral bract hyaline, shorter than the ovary. Sepals ligulate-oblong, narrowly obtuse, 0.85 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, at the base dilated along the front margin. Petals at the base clawed-narrowed, obliquely spathulate-elliptic, broadly obtuse, 1 cm long, above the middle 0.45 cm wide. Lip broadly ovate, 0.45 cm long, below the middle 0.35 cm wide, in front rounded, distinctly apiculate, margin adnate to the base of the column, spur semi-oblongoid, obtuse, 0.15 cm long and wide. Column very short, less than half as long as the lip, glabrous, clinandrium dorsally few-dentate, apex truncate. Anther broadly cucullate, in front ascending, broadly obtuse, with an umbo with subemarginate apex. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.7 cm long.

Flower white, lip apex with fine grey dots, anther in front light brown.

Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1300 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
